Cookie policy
This website does not use cookies. It does store two small items in your browser, and this page explains exactly what they are and how to remove them.
1. The short version
We do not set cookies. We do not use analytics. We do not use advertising or remarketing pixels, social media trackers, or any third-party tool that follows you around the internet. We have no interest in knowing what you looked at before you came here.
What we do use is your browser's local storage — a similar technology, but one that works differently, and that we use for two narrow, practical purposes described below.
2. Cookies and local storage are not the same thing
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and to send back with every subsequent request. Because cookies travel back to the server automatically, they are the usual mechanism for tracking and analytics.
Local storage is storage that stays entirely inside your browser. It is never transmitted automatically. A website can read it only while you are actually on that site, and cannot read storage belonging to any other website. Nothing stored here is sent to us, and we have no way of reading it from our end.
3. What this website stores
| Name | Type | What it contains | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| iss_cookie_choice_v1 | Local storage | The single word acknowledged. It records only that you have dismissed the notice at the bottom of the screen. It does not identify you and it contains no personal data. | Never — until you clear it |
| iss_enquiry_draft | Local storage | A copy of whatever you typed into the enquiry form. This is only stored if you tick the box asking us to save a draft. If you do not tick it, this item is never created. It may contain personal information you have typed, which is why we leave the choice to you. | Never — until you delete it |
Neither item is a cookie. Neither is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
4. What we do not use
- No analytics or statistics packages, including Google Analytics.
- No advertising, remarketing or conversion tracking.
- No social media pixels or embedded social feeds.
- No session recording, heat-mapping or A/B testing tools.
- No third-party embedded maps, videos or widgets.
5. The one external request the page makes
This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page opens, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, and in doing so your IP address is disclosed to Google. Google states that it does not use this request to set cookies or to profile users for advertising, and it serves the fonts from a domain that does not set advertising cookies.
This is a request, not a cookie, and no cookie is created. It is disclosed here, and in section 3.5 of our privacy policy, so that you know it happens.
6. What happens if you contact us
The enquiry form on this website does not send anything anywhere. It composes a message and opens it in WhatsApp on your own device, for you to review and send yourself.
If you go on to send it, WhatsApp will set its own cookies and process the message under Meta's own policies. Those cookies belong to WhatsApp, not to this website, and we have no control over them or visibility of them. If you would prefer to avoid this entirely, please telephone or email us instead — the contact page lists both.
7. How to remove what is stored
You have three options:
- Use our button. The contact page has a button labelled Delete any draft saved on this device. It removes the stored draft immediately.
- Clear site data in your browser. In most browsers this is under Settings, then Privacy, then something like Cookies and site data. Choose to delete data for this site.
- Use a private or incognito window. Local storage is discarded when you close the window.
Deleting these items will not break the website. The only effects are that the cookie notice will appear again, and any saved draft of the enquiry form will be gone.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce something that stores data on your device, we will describe it here first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before it is set. The date at the top of this page tells you when it was last reviewed.
